The following additional COVID-19 rules apply to all anglers fishing Wentworth Fisheries alongside our existing fishery rules:
Members must ensure that they comply with all Covid-19 social distancing and hygiene regulations set out by the government. Anyone showing signs or symptoms of COVID-19 should not leave their home and must follow the government’s isolation guidelines.
When handling our gate locks, anglers must either wear dis- posable gloves or use hand sanitiser (before and after handling) for your safety and other members. We will not tolerate any of these disposable items being left behind. Any member found discarding gloves/wipes at any of the gates will lose their permit.
Closing of the main fishery gate is essential to preserve security and reduce non members gaining entry by vehicle. Don’t leave the gate open because your friend is following you out!
You should travel alone unless your being dropped off by someone that lives in your household.
Mill Dam fishing pegs you must keep a minimum distance of 5 metres but up to 15 metres from the next angler if pegs are available.
Keepnets are not allowed on all waters.
No sharing of equipment, ie mats, landing nets etc.
No fishing guests allowed.
Angling is to be undertaken on a solitary basis, no sharing of swims unless you are a junior (Mill Dam Only) being accompanied by an adult from the same household
Social distancing must be maintained at all times. There will be no matches and there should be no gathering or socialising in swims. You can still photograph someone’s fish from well over 2 metres away, no excuses.
You must be in possession of a valid permit to show to bailiffs, at a social distance of at least 2 metres showing both the front and back page without handing the document over. Anyone not carrying a permit will be asked to leave the lakes.
